Most of the people living in the 33 states that ban same-sex marriages disagree with their state’s stance on the issue, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
Some 53 percent in those states say gay marriages should be legal, though 40 percent still oppose it. That said, there’s individual variation. Our poll doesn’t break the numbers down by state, but others show opposition outweighing support in some states.
